OCTAVIO ROJO
Argentine painter who was born in 1951 in Buenos Aires.

He first studied with Ana María Rojo Oliver and the he continued in School of Drawing of Andres Borisoff and Pablo Pereira. Lately he has taken colour classes with the painter and critic Teodoro Cralem.

It is not common to find an artist with such sensitivity and kindness. The historical and old walls of Manzana de las Luces are the best place to house a work that reflects the historical roots of a country like Argentina, whose people tends not to value its history that began with the pre-existing History of Cultures along with the history of Spain, that is the West.

In his oil and pastel paintings he reflects the costumes and every day life of our hispano-criolla society with more than 30 years. He paints typical parties and dances, religious parades, national rooms and the magic of the theatre life.

Rojo, with economy of colours and with a profound admiration for Pedro Figari, paints the Hispanic dominance and beginnings of our nationality with the strength of a person who loves history and recreates it through art, creating a distinct atmosphere.
